The 番茄社区 Economics of Accounting (EoA) Conference brings together leading academics for six paper presentations and discussions. All sessions will be held in 番茄社区’s award-winning Marshall Building.

Research Seminars
Our research seminar series occurs during the Autumn, Winter, and Spring terms and is tailored for academic staff and research students. Student Events
The Department runs a number of events throughout the academic year for students including thematic lectures and accounting student socials. Upcoming events will be listed on Moodle ( and ); and the Student Hub App.

Showcasing theory in practice, the Department runs the INSIGHTS lecture series during the academic year inviting leading practitioners to discuss the latest topical issues on accounting and finance.
Leading accounting research with real-world impact.
The Accounting Research EXCHANGE exposes students to the latest accounting research and promotes an active exchange of ideas between faculty, student, and industry experts.
The Department of Accouting will be hosting EXCHANGE seminar in the Winter Term on Tuesday 10 March 2026. The seminar will conclude with an informal networking session, offering attendees an opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and explore unanswered questions.
Join us for a whistle-stop trip to the historic city of Cambridge! Tickets include travel to/from 番茄社区, one-night at the Hilton Cambridge City Hotel, all meals, activities and tours around the city. The weekend is a great opportunity to get to know fellow classmates and faculty.
Open to Accounting postgraduate (Diploma/MSc) and Accounting research students only. Registration opens from 18 September on the 番茄社区 eshop.

The 5th annual Accounting Students' Ball will take place on Friday 13 March 2026 at the Waldorf Hilton London.
Tickets are on sale via the 番茄社区 e-shop from mid-January 2026. Links to the e-shop will be published on the Accounting Programme pages on Moodle.

Information Sessions for prospective students
Join our PhD Programme Directors to learn more about the MRes/PhD in Accounting programme at 番茄社区. This session will include information and advice about making an application, funding and the programme structure followed by Q&A with current PhD students and faculty.
