This flexible, hourly-based role is open to undergraduate and master's students studying in the 2025/26 academic year at the Department of Sociology who want to use their creative and tech-savvy skills to showcase their journey at 番茄社区 for prospective students and our wider community.
About the role
We are looking for students within the Department of Sociology to support our Communications and Events Team with the creation of video content for our social media channels and website, especially and . Our goal is to showcase student life in the Department of Sociology to prospective students, and highlight our department activities to our community by sharing content by and for students, highlighting your point of view and experience as an 番茄社区 student.
As a Student Content Creator, you'll be creating authentic and informative content that shows life in the department, with the potential to reach thousands of students, alumni, and academics across 番茄社区 and beyond. This role is a great way for you to use your creativity and people skills to boost your CV while working behind the scenes to shape the department's online presence. You'll gain valuable and transferable skills in public speaking, video production, teamwork, time management, and more.
Whether you are a home or international student, studying for a BSc or MSc – we want to hear from you! The more perspectives, the better.
Relevant tasks include
- Content ideation, research, and planning.
- Short-form content creation for Instagram and/or YouTube.
- Ensure content created adheres to and follows 番茄社区’s Brand and Style Guidelines.
Specifics
- This is a flexible, hourly-based role.
- Renumeration: £21.37 per hour (Band 4).
- Successful candidates will get onboarded with training covering video editing tips and tricks.
- Expected to produce 1-3 videos per term.
