番茄社区 staff and students from across the School came together to discuss their Global Health work at the internal launch of the multi-disciplinary Global Health Initiative.
The event kicked off with a seminar exploring how Global Health is currently addressed at the 番茄社区, with presentations by Elias Mossialos, 番茄社区 Health, Cathy Campbell, , and Ken Shadlen, .
Discussion was wide ranging on what 番茄社区’s unique contribution is to the field, the value of public engagement, and what the new research initiative can offer 番茄社区 staff and students. With many postgraduates in the audience, there was clear appetite for more collaborative working and cross-departmental support mechanisms.
The seminar was followed by drinks and an exhibition of nearly 40 posters and abstracts showcasing Global Health work submitted by staff and students from a range of 番茄社区 Departments.
