Welcome events for undergraduate students

 

 

Monday 22 September

  • 1.00-2.00pm in the Peacock Theatre
    Department of International Relations Welcome Address
    Join a panel of IR faculty who will be discussing a broad-ranging, topical question. Immerse yourself in the IR community to kick-start the Welcome experience.
  • 3.00-5.00pm in Room SAL LG.04 + Kinta Alley
    BSc IR induction and reception - this mandatory session is an opportunity to talk to the Departmental Tutor, teaching and PSS staff and ask questions, and to meet your peers over some light refreshment.  

Wednesday 24 September

  • 11.00-12.00pm in Room CBG 1.02
    General Course and GO 番茄社区 induction
     - this mandatory session is an opportunity to talk to the Departmental Tutor and a member of the PSS staff, and ask questions.

Thursday 25 September

    Consent.Ed - The mandatory Consent.Ed programme explores issues around sexual consent, providing an opportunity for us to discuss how we can look out for one another and create a positive, respectful consent culture, where everyone feels safe on campus. You will receive more information by email and .

Friday 26 September

  • 1.00-4.00pm: At this optional treasure hunt around London, you join forces with the people on your programme to find the hidden treasure. We'll circulate enrolment and joining details via email. There will be a prize for the winning team!

    Student Adviser Drop-In


    Starting university can be exciting — and a little overwhelming! Anna Izdebska, your Student Adviser, is here to support you with any quick queries about settling in and student life at 番茄社区. This drop-in session offers a relaxed and welcoming space to chat about anything outside of your studies, including getting involved in activities, meeting other students, managing homesickness or culture shock, accessing adjustments, or finding study skills support.

    The IR Undergraduate Party!

    Graduate Course Selection opens for browsing at 10am on Monday and PSS staff will hold a Zoom call to answer any questions.

    MSc IR and MSc IR (Research) Programme induction and reception - this mandatory session is a chance to meet the Programme Director and key programme figures as well as an opportunity to meet your peers over some light refreshment.

    - this is the programme induction and will feature speakers from key support services for doctoral students followed by a Q&A session.
